Hastha

Hastha was born from a simple, deeply felt belief that beautiful things should be made with intention and that meaningful work belongs to everyone. Founded in 2015 by Divya Vigneshwaran, Hastha began as a search for something that didn’t yet exist: clothing that fit the Indian woman’s body with grace, comfort, and a touch of art. The answer was hand block printing, an ancient Indian craft that turns every piece of fabric into something quietly extraordinary.

Behind every print is a person. Since 2019, Hastha has worked closely with neurodivergent adults, individuals who are deeply capable, often brilliantly detail-oriented, yet consistently left out of mainstream employment. Hand block printing, with its rhythm and repetition, is something many of them take to with remarkable skill. At Hastha, they are not volunteers or beneficiaries. They are trained craftspeople, paid fairly for their work, because dignity isn’t a gesture, it’s a practice.

We make small batches of clothing and accessories crafted from cotton and hand-printed with azo-free pigment dyes. No mass production. No shortcuts. Each piece carries the weight of a process that cannot be rushed. That is precisely its beauty. Our prints draw from nature, tradition, history and the everyday.

When you buy from Hastha, you are not making a charity purchase. You are choosing something genuinely beautiful, made with real craft and real care. You are simply choosing to let your wardrobe mean a little more.
