Sakana. Fish, in Japanese. On an umbrella that belongs in the rain. The Sakana is a hand-block-printed umbrella, with fish motifs scattered across the panels in teal — small, unhurried, doing what fish do. The dark ground keeps it subtle. Open it in the rain, and the fish make more sense than they have any right to.

116 cm diameter. Wooden handle. Serious enough for a Chennai monsoon, quiet enough for a dry afternoon when you just want to carry something worth carrying. Each fish was pressed individually by hand — placement, pressure, repeat — by neurodivergent adults whose ease with this kind of rhythmic, repetitive work shows in the way the motifs sit evenly across the fabric.

Where are you based?

We are based in Anna Nagar, Chennai.
What are the shipping charges?

Shipping within India is free. For international orders, the cost depends on the package weight and destination — the exact charges will be visible at checkout, once you enter your shipping address.
Can prints be customised?

Yes. Write to us at 9940020264, Mon to Sat, between 10 am and 6 pm, and we will talk through what you have in mind.
What is your exchange policy?

We do not offer returns or refunds, but exchanges for a different size or product are easy. If an exchange isn't possible, we issue store credit that you can use within 6 months. No exchanges/refunds on customised products.
How much time does it take to ship?

We ship within 2 - 4 working days. Customised orders take 2 - 3 weeks.
